The story of Christ is better told by actions than words as exhibited on 2003 Memorial Day weekend by The Wheeler Family - Memorial Day Concert, May 2003.
Terry went to get the bus to leave for the WSGMA concert and found it with graffiti all over the side. Not having any time to do anything about it, he had to drive down the freeway with the graffiti to make it in time for the meeting and concert.
At 8:00am, he had to attend a meeting with WSGMA officers. After the meeting he went back to the bus in the parking lot where Jerry Wimberly was already in the process of trying to remove the graffiti, which was not an easy task. Trying every chemical they could find on the bus along with some he purchased at a store nearby, Steve and Terry got involved too.
By now, concert guests were arriving. That's when The Wheeler Family of six, were walking across the parking lot and exclaimed, "OH NO, give us a rag !!!" ...and they spent about 2 hours in the HOT HOT sun providing cleaning materials and their labor to help us complete the job at hand. What a blessing these people were to us.
This caused them to be late for the concert but they didn't complain nor give up, in fact, they brought their exhuberance and smiles into the concert to help lift our spirits. This is what Christian love is all about. They made us and God 'HAPPY' that day, along with many other concert guests in attendance when Terry told the story of 'THE WHEELER FAMILY & THE BUS'......
